We’re planning to run our next Intermediate Licence training course on a Tuesday evening (date to be confirmed). If you’ve been thinking about taking the next step in your amateur radio journey, this is a great opportunity to do it with the support of fellow members.

At the moment, three people have already signed up, but we’d love to welcome a couple more to make up the group. The training is completely free at the club and will be run in friendly, relaxed evening sessions.

During the course, we’ll cover everything you need for your Intermediate exam, including:

  • Practical skills such as building simple circuits and soldering

  • Operating procedures and licence conditions

  • Understanding transmitters, receivers, and antennas

  • Safety in the shack, including electrical and RF safety

  • Radio propagation and how signals travel

  • Plus lots of hands-on demonstrations to bring the theory to life!

When you’ve completed the course, the club will then arrange your exam so you can move one step closer to your Full Licence.

If this sounds like something for you, please get in touch — we’d love to have you join us!
