Me and Peter G7MEI + Marie 2E1BTH had anearly start for a trip to Bishop Auckland for BARAC rally to man the NARC table left Bedlington at 06:45 , we were pleased we made it after the snow yesterday and us not going last year due to snow . It was my first rally and it was great to see some people in the flesh and put faces to callsigns . I spoke to some lads on the next table from the British Amateur Television Club GB3KM about Fast scan TV which was very interesting and they were kind enough to show me inside and out of both of the units see photos .
There were loads of tables with various electronics and vintage computers and of course plenty of radios , Canny Components were opposite and Really Good Radios to the side of us .
We managed to raise £145 for the club which was great and it was good to see quite a few members from the club as well . A good time was had by all …
